Y'all are familiar with the Surefire® Vampire. $400 and VERY under powered. Still a very nice unit, very effective for what it needs to do. We have another solution. High-powered, high-candela LED; high-powered, long throw IR illuminator. All in one dual body package. Use the Z-BOLT® LED light for everyday use - for CQB; mid-range engagement and search. Nice hot spot - great flood & spill. 65,000 candela and 200 meter beam throws. The Z-BOLT® IR Illuminator is a beast. The light head includes focusable optics - 4° to 25°. 1000 meter beam throws. Choose the standard configuration - or mix and match optional accessories. We suggest a dual function or remote cable port tailcap for the LED; regular clicky-style for the "special use case" IR Illuminator.

I was in need of a high beam flashlight for my job. It does get super hot when on for more than a minute or two, but that's known for high output lights. I've yet to use it in the rain or drop it while standing up. So far it's great for the price you get it for, and I will definitely purchase another light. I only rated 4 stars now due to not having pushed it's limits yet.
The best out there hands down. The switch is out of the way but easily accessible during stressful incidents. Ive used it for several weeks now serving high risk warrants and it is my favorite hands down
