As a disclaimer, I've only used this as a handheld so far. It's nice and bright, it has good throw with a focused beam. It fits nicely in the hand with the included finger grip and it's fun to twirl it around if you get bored. Battery life seems good with the included batteries, It's lasted for intermittent use over four night shifts in a row. I haven't bumped or banged it much beyond letting it sit on the front of my vest. It is overbright and washes print out if you're trying to show someone something specific on a piece of paper up close, but that's a minor complaint.
