"Why not a Surefire® 340V, or 640V (Vampire) or Streamlight TLR VIR2? Because thisdedicated IR illuminator head (BLAZER LED IR) has much greater convergence downrange relative to the Vampire heads which have a vary wide flood, and essentially only good as backups or for CQB . . . not much use past 30~50 yards." Nice hot spot - great flood & spill. 65,000 candela and 200 meter beam throws. The Z-BOLT® IR Illuminator is a beast. The light head includes focusable optics - 4° to 25°. 1000 meter beam throws. Choose the standard configuration - or mix and match optional accessories. We suggest a dual function or remote cable port tailcap for the LED; regular clicky-style for the "special use case" IR Illuminator.
