Well made product at a good price. The Crane plug has a more positive click than my Surefire plugs, and the basic design is more rugged. I'm tempted to start replacing my SF setups with these, assuming it holds up long term
Got this light specifically to use the red filter for coyote hunting. Turns out the red filter is practically useless from being so dim that it’s hardly visible, even when dark outside. The green and clear filters are pretty bright though. Also have a Blazer 18650 led mounted on my ak and it’s almost better in my opinion. Not having any spill on the lep is nice, just sucks that the red filter isn’t bright enough to use.
I received the ACAL 3B from Z-Bolt as a T&E for my LE Agency and Tactical Team use. Overall, this is a great laser; the co-located laser makes accuracy out to range very easy. The visible laser is bright. The IR flood of this laser is unmatched compared to other laser devices I have used and tested.
The device is large, however is still comparable in weight to other used and tested devices.
One design change that I think could make this device better is the FIRE button being located over the laser portion of the device instead of over the IR Flood. This would allow for a more natural shooting grip with the button being easily accessible.
The price point of the ACAL is great, and for the quality of the device, a bargain compared to other devices.
Great Product with only small negatives being the overall size and the FIRE button location.
Would highly recommend the purchase of this device to other LE Officers and Agencies.
